My first exposure to Nanci Griffith was on KERA 90.1 where I heard her singing "Speed of the Sound of Loneliness" on the way home from work. I actually sat in my driveway so that I could listen to the end of the song. Fortunately, I was able to keep her name in my short term memory long enough to add the CD to my wish list at Amazon.com, at which time I promptly forgot about it.
