  Summer 2004

Summer 2004 was time for another family vacation. As has become our custom, we were joined by our in-laws, all of their daughters and their families. This year was also a celebration of Daniel's safe return from duty in Iraq and we decided to take a cruise out of Galveston.

Our first stop was in Progresso Mexico on the Yucatán peninsula followed by a day in Cozumel and a day in Belize. Click on any of the pictures below for a full-sized view.

91 steps to the top!

Bailey having second thoughts during her ascent

I can't say that I blame her. The width of the steps was very shallow and the angle was steep.

Getting closer to Galveston and return to reality

The next morning when we were close to port our cell phones started going wild. While we were away a severe storm had hit our neighborhood and caused some significant damage. While our house was spared, we lost some trees and a good portion of fencing.
